back clothing

Constantly inspired by monochrome colors and the possibilities and challenges they pose in putting an outfit together. There are so many textures and combinations that can make a simple black outfit look pulled together and stunning. Somewhere in the last year I found that 90% of my wardrobe consists of black, white, or grey pieces and I am completely okay with that.

I feel like society is quick to judge a girl on a motorcycle, but these photos beg to differ. You can still be a babe and ride a bike.

My love for A-frames runs deep and when I saw this masterpiece by architect William O’Brien Jr. my heart nearly exploded. Allandale House is the perfect mixture of modern architecture and the outdoors complete with a wine cellar, garage, and library. The home is actually three separate A-frame entities merged together to create a beautiful combination of architectural beauty and functionality. The western A-frame portion contains the cellar, garage, and library while the middle A-frame serves as the living area with two floors of bedrooms and bathrooms. The eastern A-frame has the living room, dining room, and kitchen area. While the house serves primarily as a vacation get-away, I would give up almost anything to call this place home.

Today, I’m feeling inspired by the patterns and color schemes of these textile pieces. I’m a sucker for all things dark, so it’s definitely no surprise that I am in love with their deep hues and geometric patterns. I’ll take one of each.
