I grew up going on camping trips all across North Texas with my family, and while the first few years consisted of tents, we eventually upgraded to trailer camping. I’m thankful that I was exposed to the wild and am able to appreciate and love being out in the middle of the woods or on a lake with minimal supplies and my friends or family around me. I am fully aware that the pictures above represent a more glamorous side of the wilderness. Nonetheless, they are inspiring and beautiful and make me want to pack up my tent and sleeping bag and head out into the middle of nowhere. Most of my camping experiences consist of state park reservations on over-populated Texas lakes and rivers. Sometime in the near future (note:summer) I would love to head out into the back country and experience remote camping at it’s finest.
