I am currently laying in my bed watching Harry Potter, in case you were curious about what type of shenanigans I am up to on this fine Sunday afternoon. I came across these photos of Doan Nguyen’s RMIT graduation collection recently and found her work to be just incredible. “Descended” was meant to capture the motion of falling through the use of unorthodox materials and cutting technique (see: polyurethane foam injections).  It reminded me of a few of the weavings I have seen floating around the internet by a some very talented artists. Although this isn’t something you would wear out on a typical Friday night, it is quite the dreamy piece of work. You can see more of Doan’s work and read a full interview she did with Pitch Present here.
